In the beginning there was plush
For more than 30 years, our home textiles have ensured that you feel comfortable in your bed. We are proud of the trust, appreciation, and appeal that Florella has enjoyed with our customers for so long.
It all began in a corner of the northern Waldviertel, where one's gaze can wander between poppy fields and rapeseed fields, over green meadows into the distance, and life sets its own rhythm.
1985 The former baby plush production in Eggern is converted to the manufacture of fitted sheets. Florella was born.
1987 The Eggern site becomes too small and moves to neighboring Litschau. Every month, 75,000 fitted sheets are produced and brought to market in renowned furniture stores.
1989/90 The opening of the East creates further opportunities: Florella Design opens a new plant in Vranov nad Toplou (Slovakia).
2000 Florella Design sells its production and from now on focuses on the development and distribution of new products.
2001 From now on, we are a full-service provider: Due to popular customer demand, Florella Design expands its range to include bed linen.
2012 We are proud of this: Florella Design receives the GOTS certificate. We cannot save the world alone, but with our products made from GOTS-certified organic cotton, we are at least taking a step in the right direction.
2013 We emphasize our social competence and become a member of BSCI (today Amfori). This network is committed worldwide to fair conditions throughout the entire value chain.
2014 A lot is happening online and offline: We need more space again and move to our new office building with an extra-large warehouse. At the same time, we become a dropshipping cooperation partner.
2020 A year that, like for everyone, will remain in our memory. We are happy about our many customers who have remained loyal to us during this challenging time.
October 2020 After more than two years of development, our new website www.florella.at is online.
